Dao Kangning and Wake Chemical Joint Venture Silicon Comprehensive Production Base Extension Project Launched First Financial Information: Dao Kangning and Wake Chemical Co. announced on October 19 that the two sides jointly invested in Zhangjiagang City, Jiangsu Province, the second phase of the gas phase silicon dioxide expansion project was formally completed and put into production. The fumed silica plant and the siloxane plant are important components of the Dow Corning-Wack silicone production base. The base is located in Zhangjiagang Yangzijiang International Chemical Industrial Park, Jiangsu Province, and is jointly invested by the two companies. Zhangjiagang silicone comprehensive production base covers an area of 1 million square meters, with a total investment of 1.8 billion US dollars. It is the largest silicone comprehensive production base in China and one of the largest and most advanced silicone production bases in the world. The total annual capacity of the siloxane plant and the fumed silica plant (including the Phase II Project) is about 210,000 tons. The total investment of the two sides in the new gas-silicon dioxide plant will reach tens of millions of euros. Fumed silica and siloxane are key materials for the production of silicone downstream products. At present, silicone products are used in almost all walks of life, such as automobiles, construction, cosmetics and personal care products, electronics, power generation and distribution, as well as solar energy and textile industries. Dow Corning and Walker also own independent downstream silicon production plants in Zhangjiagang's silicone complex, and each company operates its own marketing and sales operations.
